At the DRKSL, constant efforts are made to ensure all round development of a child, therefore special emphasis is laid on sports and extra-curricular activities. A sound programme of physical education helps a child develop a strong and healthy body and provides him with valuable recreation. All students are encouraged to take part in team games as well as excel in individual games. Games are arranged separately for boys and girls under the supervision of qualified teachers. Recreational games are provided for Nursery to Std. 10.

The School has well-laid out fields for Cricket, Football, Athletics, Badminton, Kho kho and Kabaddi. Inter House Competitions are held for all games. Besides this Yoga training in imparted.

Co-curricular activities like inter-house competitions are held for various activities viz. Elocution, Poetry Recitation, Debate, Story Telling, Spelling bee, Article Writing etc. in both English and Hindi at different levels. Participation in such activities contributes to the enhancement of the student's personality.

The school will provide its transport through an authorized Pvt. Transporter in nearby Hazaribagh by covering all major localities. No student will be allowed to leave the school campus unless the Gate Pass issued by the school authorities is produced.

The school has a well stocked library with sufficient number of supporting and reference books of all subjects, novels, periodicals, newspapers and story books which are provided to help students cultivate a reading habit and become up to date. Keeping in view the challenges of the new millennium, computer education is imparted to students right from Std. I onwards. There is a well equipped computer lab with the latest software. The school has installed a most advanced array of computers for the purpose.

DRKSL has well equipped science and math laboratories. Science curriculum has theories, laws and formulae which we encourage students to learn through exploration and observation, investigation and experimentation. Our aim is to reduce the gap between theoretical learning and application. For most children, Mathematics is too difficult. Our teachers aim is to remove this fear for numbers and problems with the help of the Math's Lab. Using activities and fun methods, children are able to learn complex theorems and formulae with ease.
